On Dec. 19, Mr. Rotsky, an engineer and parent, visited Ms. Urbanek's class to teach about pulleys. Students loved the hands-on tug-of-war demo, showing how pulleys reduce effort. A fun, interactive lesson that made engineering come alive! #bmsgreatplacetobe

The state of Massachusetts runs a plow naming contest for school-aged children. A few classes have entered that contest, but the Berkey Highway Department and the BPS maintenance department also ran a plow naming contest. Below is the first winner of Berkley's Name a Snow Plow.
