Program Description

The Berkley Community School and Berkley Middle School Surround Care Program provides high-quality child care in a structured but informal learning environment, which includes a variety of activities that are designed to be interesting, age-appropriate, and fun. Some of the activities include arts/crafts, computer time, free choice, group games, enrichment activities, outdoor play, gym time, and homework time. Our purpose is to provide a warm, supervised, enriched environment that is safe, supportive, creative, and fun for all students. Surround Care is self-sufficient and is funded entirely by parent tuition.

The program provides before-school, after-school, early release days, school vacations (pending enrollment), and summer childcare to students enrolled in the Berkley Public School system.

The program is not open on state/federal holidays, staff professional days, or when the building is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.
