Dear Berkley Families,

The Berkley Middle School is proud of its students, staff and community. We are committed to our mission to share with all students the values, knowledge and skills needed to reach their full potential; maximize achievement; and show an open mindedness in interacting with others in our diverse world. Our core values of respect, responsibility, optimism and kindness are at the heart of all we do each and every day. Staff and students will strive to incorporate, on a daily basis, our core values. At Berkley Middle School we will teach and enhance students’ skills in our core values to allow them to be successful students, adults, friends and positive, productive members of society. Our vision for our graduates is to be able to live a life that embodies equity, acceptance, gratitude, leadership, effort and self-advocacy, living their best lives. Berkley students will be shown that accountability earns respect and that respect leads to dignity. We will work together to create a learning environment in which each person is provided with many opportunities to become happy and successful; to effectively and collaboratively solve problems; and where everyone is encouraged to think independently and creatively. In order to successfully meet our goals, we provide a biased free curriculum that allows students to develop intellectually, physically, socially and emotionally, with an awareness, appreciation and celebration for our differences and likenesses, learning that together we are better. We welcome our families and school community to be partners with us on this journey.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Hebert & Ryan Andrade
