Involvement is Key....

Welcome to the Berkley Middle School! At BMS, we believe that the involvement of parents and community members enhances and expands the program of education that we provide for our students. Thus, we invite you to share in the BMS experience by taking advantage of the involvement opportunities described in this brochure. Your participation is wanted and appreciated!

BPTO/BMS Activities Committee (formerly PTO)

The Berkley Parent Teacher Organization of the Berkley Middle School has two main purposes. The first is to raise funds to provide various resources to the students of BMS. Additionally, the BPTO hosts varied activities to benefit the students of BMS such as Socials/Dances, and Eagle Day. The BPTO also helps to pay for Field Trip buses. The BPTO oversees the Box Tops program. The PTO meets on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 at BMS.

School Council

The School Council is a committee that advises the principal in developing the Annual School Improvement Plan. The PTCAC also reviews the school budget and discipline policy on an annual basis. The members of the School Council are either appointed or elected. The School Council meets on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 at the Berkley Middle school.
